Executive Secretary, Pennsylvania State Conservation Commission

Karl G. Brown

Karl G. Brown is the Executive Secretary of the Pennsylvania State Conservation Commission. He is responsible for the administration of all Commission programs and responsibilities, including Nutrient Management, Dirt and Gravel Road Maintenance, and general support and oversight of conservation district programs.  Brown has served in this position since November of 1995.

Prior to working for the Commission, Brown worked for Pennsylvania Farm Bureau’s Governmental Relations Division from 1984 to 1995.  He worked as a soil conservationist for Lebanon County Conservation District from 1982 to 1984 and as a laboratory technician and research field-crew member at Pennsylvania State University Plant Nutrition Laboratory from 1980 to 1982.
