Cooperative Agricultural Pest Survey

The mission of the Cooperative Agricultural Pest Survey is to provide information on the distribution of plant pests in the United States deemed to be of regulatory significance to USDA-APHIS-PPQ, State Departments of Agriculture, tribal governments, and cooperators. Agricultural crop pests and biological control agents including: insects, plant pathogens, weeds, nematodes and other invertebrate organisms. This is accomplished through a number of survey, detection, and identification activities in the field and the laboratory that confirm the presence or absence of plant pests impacting the domestic and international movement of plants and plant products and by establishing and maintaining a comprehensive network of cooperators and stakeholders with the ultimate goal of safeguarding American plant resources.
