Commission for Agriculture Education Excellence

Stephon Fitzpatrick is the first ever full time Executive Director for the Commission for Agriculture Education Excellence. Stephon has over 17 years of experience working within different sectors of the agricultural industry which includes: US Forest Service, USDA as a National 1890 Scholar, FFA, MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture Natural Resources and Related Sciences), World Food Prize, National Association of Agriculture Educators and through his work with Maryland FFA and the Maryland Ag Teachers Association.  

He studied Agriculture and Natural Resources at Tuskegee University and Delaware State University, holds a master's in management organizational leadership from Wilmington University and is in his third year of his Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.  

As a non-traditional agriculture student, Mr. Fitzpatrick through his work as the former Coordinator for Recruitment, Retention & Experiential Learning for the School of Agriculture and Natural Sciences at UMES, he for the last several years has provided leadership and professional development opportunities for students majoring in over 30 different agriculture majors.  Through his engagement with FFA and as the Graduate Student President for MANRRS has allowed Mr. Fitzpatrick to be a advocate for students pursuing educational and professional opportunities within the various fields of the agriculture industry.
